FCCLA

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a national Career and Technical Student Organization that provides personal growth, leadership development, and career preparation opportunities for students in Family and Consumer Sciences education.

Our Mission is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

Our local FCCLA chapter has a membership totaling 40 students in grades 9-12.  Our chapter strives to provide community service and volunteer experiences that will help make a difference in our local community.  We also attend regional and state FCCLA conferences and events.

Although we have many student body events throughout the year, other community events and programs we have include:

Golden Living Center Buddy Program—monthly visits with activities

Battle of the Belt Safety Contest (every other year)

Oct. 31st-Nov. 4th—Red Ribbon Week

Annual Halloween Costume Judging

Cans for Caring Food Drive

Project Warmth/Toys for Tots Drive

Winter Formal

Business Person’s Breakfast

Legislative Shadowing

FCCLA Week

If you ever have an event or fundraiser you need help with don’t hesitate to contact Mrs. Lee or any FCCLA officer.  We are always looking for new service opportunities.
